White noise
Where all frequencies between 20Hz and 20kHz are present.
- doesn't sound appealing on its own, but can fill up the background of a mix for a fuller sound
- a good basis for synthetic snares and hi-hats
- all frequencies present → good candidate for filters
- you also have pink noise, where all frequencies are present but higher frequencies are quieter → more pleasing to the ear
